Black and Gold Feather Swirl
Solid Soap · NaOH · 100 g oil load · 3% superfat · 3 views · 0 saves
** Using the same oils from my Milk and Honey soap. Using a bit more goats milk and 1T of honey instead of 1t of honey PPO. Separate water from lye water mixture and mix with 2 scoops goats milk powder. Separate water from lye water mixture and mix with activated charcoal. Make lye water mixture. Separate olive oil and add for gold mica. Prepare some gold mica for sprinkling. Mix oils and add kaolin clay. Measure EO's, 25g tea tree, ~12g each of rosemary and orange (or mint). Add SL to cooled lye water. Hand stir lye water into oils. If there is some emulsification then add goats milk. If not, then stick blend very lightly and add goats milk AND EO's. DO NOT OVER BLEND. Separate out ~20% of the batter for the feather swirl and add gold mica. Add activated charcoal to the rest. Blend to a very light trace, just past emulsion. DO NOT OVER BLEND. Dust a little gold mica onto the black before pouring. Do the feather swirl.
