Blue tray for Chris

Solid Soap · NaOH · 100 g oil load · 5% superfat · 3 views · 0 saves

This is a high lye concentration- or high 'water discount' which is fine for no added fragrance, essential oils or titanium dioxide- these may speed up trace too quickly. This soap will cure faster having less water. LINE THE BLUE PLASTIC TRAY MOULD WITH CLING FILM FIRST to help with un-moulding. You can use up to 400g water to bring down the lye concentration if you want to add fragrance or honey (sugars speed trace and will heat up the batter quickly). Sunflower oil can be used instead of olive oil- no difference in SAP value- very similar soaps and cheaper to buy!
