Na neutralizaci 1 g kyseliny citronové (monohyrát) potřebujeme 0,571 g NaOH nebo 0,801 g KOH. Dávkování 1 – 5 % od váhy olejů, nejčastěji se používají 3 % – tedy 30 g na 1 kg olejů. Laktát sodný 60% vodný roztok Jeho dávkování je max 3 % – já se nejčastěji držím kolem 1%, maximálně 2 %. Pokud se přidá více než je zdrávo, mýdlo se může začít lámat. Laktát sodný se přidává do vychladlého louhu, do stopy nebo do olejů. U hotového laktátu sodného se již žádný hydroxid nepřidává! Dávkování hedvábí: 1 – 10 g na 1 kg olejů – pro viditelný efekt doporučuji přidávat alespoň 3 – 5 g.
