Lard Bar Soap test batch

Solid Soap · NaOH · 100 g oil load · 8% superfat · 3 views · 0 saves

Made a lovely creamy batter. Used heat transfer method but I don’t think such a small recipe was suited for the cold north east of England. it cooled too quickly. Had to microwave it 3 times before fat was melted! Then it traced fairly quick. So much so I had to mix coconut milk and clay in by hand. Spooned into individual moulds to avoid gel.
