Lavender Bastille Soap Copy

Solid Soap · NaOH · 100 g oil load · 6% superfat · 3 views · 0 saves

This copy is with added beeswax to help with longevity, I hope, because my Nanny tells me that the soap barely lasts her (a 4oz bar) a month, even though she puts it out of reach of everyone, including the shower. I know where she leaves it and I know what she means. She's stingy with her special soaps so I know it must be the humidity that must be affecting the evaporation of the soaps. Beeswax, I think might help a bit, even though it'll affect the bubbles, but I will add honey to counteract that, and I'll add citric acid to also help the chelation so she doesn't have to clean the shower as often 'cause I did see a bit of scum. I'll melt the beeswax in the CO (Louann brand) so as not to degrade the olive oil. But days are getting cooler here in WI, so I need to work quickly. I'll be making this test batch by Fri of this week (by 10/6/2023).
