Na neutralizaci 1 g 80% kyseliny mléčné je třeba 0,355 g NaOH (100%). V recepte 15 g x 0,355g = 5,3 g NaOH navyše t.j. celkovo 202g NaOH Pozor! Kyselinu rozpouštíme ve vodě před přidáním hydroxidu. Vody musí být dostatek (min 2:1). Neutralizací vzniká teplo a je velmi důležité roztok chladit. Ještě lépe mít část destilované vody zmražené. Hydroxid potom vsypávat opatrně a po malých částech, aby nedošlo k vyvření. Výpary nevdechovat! Dávkování 1 – 2 (3) % od váhy olejů.
