Marseille-style soap (sunflower variation) Blend

Solid Soap · NaOH · 100 g oil load · 3% superfat · 3 views · 0 saves

Plain Marseille-style soap. Test batch for checking cure time, final hardness, colour, etc. Additions: 18/06/2021: Added 50 mL vinegar (5%) to lye water to test for effect of sodium acetate. Expect to be approximately 4 g sodium acetate in the final batch (less than 1%). Fragrances added were 30 drops each of frankincense, bergamot, and patchouli (trying to anchor the citrus fragrance). Finally, the batch has 1/4 teaspoon of corn starch added as scent anchor also. Let's see!
