MO RIVER SALT BARS: (MAKES APPROX. 24 LARGE SUNFLOWER MOLDS Do Not Use Dead Sea Salt in this Recipe. Use Heavy Cream instead of Water for liquid. If you use full water and no cream, use 19.4 oz. FO is 1 oz. PPO = 5% Melt solid oils and add to liquid oils; Add 2.5 tsp. Kaolin Clay and stick blend. Add lye/cream solution to oils. Both batters should be at room temp. (approx. 70 degrees); If using 1 color add directly to batter; if using multiple colors, divide batter and disperse colors in 1 tblsp. sunflower oil; Add 4.5 oz. FO and blend to trace; Add salt and hand stir until well incorporated; then stick blend. Pour batter into spouted pitchers and pour carefully into molds. Unmold after 24 hours - the soaps will be very hard; Cure 4-6 weeks. NOTE: Spray molds with glitter mixed w/alcohol before pouring batter in; or you can paint the inside of the mold with mica mixed with oil, alcohol or water; This recipe makes approximately 24 large sunflower molds.
