Solid Soap · NaOH · 100 g oil load · 5% superfat · 3 views · 0 saves
Soap will be separated into 2 batches. Add French Green Clay & Spirulina to a little warm oils/butters to hydrate them, (pulled from my melted oils) enough to form a runny paste. Add the clay mixture to the soap batter, just past emulsion, and blend with a spatula (sometimes the stick blender, depending on EO blend). Soap at 80 - 85 degrees. Blend until emulsion. Separate soap into 2 batches. Add French Green Clay & Spirulina oil mixture to 1 batch. Continue to blend both batches until light to medium trace is reached. Alternately pour plain batch and colored batch into mold and swirl as desired. Once firm enough use a spoon to add texture to top of loaf. surround loaf with blanket over night. Wearing gloves, remove from mold in about 24 hours, and cut and stamp. Allow to cure for 4 - 6 weeks.
