Violet Spoon Plop Loaf
Solid Soap · NaOH · 100 g oil load · 5% superfat · 4 views · 0 saves
Making in loaf mold this time, hopefully swirl works again! Update: it did not. Had to spoon plop, so hopefully THAT comes out cool. I think the heat transfer method actually ended up making it too hot and caused it to accelerate. The lye solution was at about 160⁰ when I added it to the oils, and the oils were at about 67⁰. I hand stirred, and the mixture was around 108⁰ then separated into colors, with the intent to stick blend then individually so I could put off trace, but they all started thickening before I ever touched any of it with the stick blender! UPDATE: The cut revealed spectacular glycerin rivers!!!
